Third Age Films is the U3A's first film production unit, and the only U3A group in the country actively making feature films.

Latest news

Our Victorian drama, An Ancient Evil has so far garnered three nominations on its circuit of the film festivals. The last of these was for Best Actress at the New York Film Festival.

Just released, is The Hands of Time. Set in 1927, the film follows the trials and tribulations of a Jewish family at a time when fascism was rife. Set in London and Manchester, the story is based upon real events.

Our latest production - Black Inheritance - is almost complete with only one scene awaiting filming. Set as it is on a farm, some more settled weather is required before it can be shot.

Starting this year, our next production will be a black comedy concerning problems in the NHS. Its working title is Pain Relief. Watch this space.
