Third Age Films is the U3A's first film production unit, and the only U3A group in the country actively making feature films.

Latest news

The 2019 Spring Term saw the group completing two short films which have been entered for the New Forest Film Festival to be held in June 2019. The head judge is Mark Kermode, the well-known film critic, tv presenter, and journalist.

The Summer Term 2019 saw one film in production that is now being dubbed.

The Autumn Term has begun with shooting a short film noir about Philip Marlowe similar to The Big Sleep. A major challenge for the group as it's set in 1949. It will be followed by a tale of a mugging that went drastically wrong; surprisingly, it's a comedy.
