Third Age Films is the U3A's first film production unit, and the only U3A group in the country actively making feature films.

Our Victorian drama, An Ancient Evil has so far garnered three nominations on its circuit of the film festivals. The last of these was for Best Actress at the New York Film Festival.Just released, is The Hands of Time. Set in 1927, the film follows the trials and tribulations of a Jewish family at a time when fascism was rife. Set in London and Manchester, the story is based upon real events. The film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival.
Our latest production - Black Inheritance - is complete, and is currently with the music composer who is working on the atmospheric music. It will be released sometime time in June and submitted to film festivals.
Starting this year, our next production is a black satire concerning problems in the NHS. Its working title is Pain Relief. More details will follow later in the year. Watch this space.
