Third Age Films is the U3A's first film production unit, and the only U3A group in the country actively making feature films.
The 2018 Spring Term saw the completion of 'Where in the World?', our first film using the technique of 'Green Screen filming', and the beginning of a series of short films intended for the festival circuit. Our first production in this project concerns itself with a comedy about television news reporting.
The Autumn Term 2018 will see a new movie go into rehearsal concerning some market traders who unwittingly attract the attention of a rather sinister organisation. It is a dark comedy, with initial filming starting in October.
Early in November 2017, our espionage drama, The Sweetman File, was screened at The Shelley Theatre, Bournemouth, together with Old Sins Cast Long Shadows - the last film to star the late John Halston, a founder member of Third Age Films.
Vacancies with the film crew are currently limited, but please get in touch to register your interest in working with the country's only U3A group actively making feature films.
